In footage taped before the show, ECW TV Champion Taz attacked Lance Wright in the parking lot; featured a segment where the Pitbulls wheeled Wright to ringside, with Pitbull #1 cutting a promo on Taz, noting he beat Taz' ass in 1994, and then challenged him to face Pitbull #2; moments later, Taz appeared, fought with Pitbull #2, and locked on the Tazmission; moments later, Taz took Wright through a table on the floor and then assaulted a fan, with two police officers confronting him in the ring; Taz then took down one of the officers with a Fujiwara armbar, with several wrestlers coming out to hold him back; Sabu then appeared, as Taz was held back, and repeatedly slapped Taz until Taz broke free and fought with Sabu until he was pulled out of the ring
ECW - 10/17/97: Little Guido & Tracy Smothers (w/ Tommy Rich) defeated Balls Mahoney & Axl Rotten at 8:40 when Guido pinned Balls with a roll up; Balls & Axl originally won the match at 8:15 when Balls pinned Guido with the Nutcracker Suite but Rich put Guido's foot on the bottom rope during the cover, with referee Jeff Jones making the pinfall and then realizing Guido's foot was on the ropes; after the bout, Balls threatened to hit Jones with a chair until other referees came out, with Jones grabbing the mic and cutting a promo saying he was the man in charge and was the best referee in the country; Jones then hit referee John Molino when he talked back to him and then raised the hands of Balls & Axl, with Balls then hitting Jones with the chair
ECW - 10/10/97: Justin Credible (w/ Jason) pinned Jerry Lynn at 10:28 with a tombstone and jumping DDT; prior to the bout, Joey Styles conducted an in-ring interview with Jason in which Jason introduced his latest find as PJ Walker; Walker then appeared to chants of "Aldo" with Jason renaming him "Justin Credible;" after Styles recapped Credible's run in the WWF, Credible shoved Styles away to end the interview (Credible and Lynn's ECW Arena debut)
ECW - 10/10/97: Chris Candido pinned Lance Storm at 14:16 with the powerbomb off the top
Bam Bam Bigelow pinned Spike Dudley at 5:21 with a splash off the top after press slamming Spike into the front row, with the audience then crowd surfing Spike until Bigelow rolled him back inside the ring; prior to the bout, Bigelow cut an in-ring promo hyping the crowd up that he would press slam Spike into the audience during the match, with the crowd then chanting "Over here" and "We want Spike;" after the match, Bigelow threw Spike into another section, with the crowd initially not catching Spike but then lifting him up and again passing him around the arena
ECW World Champion Shane Douglas (w/ Francine) pinned Phil Lafon (w/ Doug Furnas) (mystery opponent) at 12:03 with a roll over; prior to the match, Douglas cut an in-ring promo on Terry Funk and Shawn Michaels as well as mentioning Rick Rude couldn't be at the show because he was in London, England that weekend with the WWF; Douglas then asked who Rude had spent three months training to face him, with Furnas & Lafon appearing; after Douglas said he wanted to face Furnas - since Furnas' shoulder was recently injured in a car wreck - Furnas then took the mic and said he and Lafon were in the ring with the biggest pussy in the business - and it wasn't Francine; late in the match, Furnas, Chris Candido, Francine, and Bam Bam Bigelow all interfered, with Douglas and Candido having to hold Bigelow back from going after Furnas following the contest

Tommy Dreamer (w/ Beulah McGillicutty) fought Rob Van Dam (w/ Bill Alfonso) to a no contest in a flag match at around the 16-minute mark when Doug Furnas, Phil Lafon, and Stevie Richards interfered on behalf of RVD, all the referees were knocked out, and RVD landed a frog splash onto a trash can laid across Dreamer, with RVD's enterage then counting to three; pre-match stipulations stated the winner would raise the flag of their promotion, ECW for Dreamer and the WWF for RVD; earlier in the bout, referee Jeff Jones twice prevented Jeff Molino and John Finnegan from counting Dreamer's covers until Beulah hit a low blow from behind and Molino & Finnegan dropped Jones with a double DDT, only to then be laid out by Alfonso; after Alfonso grabbed a mic and announced RVD as the winner, Sabu came out to put Dreamer through a table; however, Beulah stepped in the way and Sabu came off the top knocking her down; RVD, Sabu, Furnas, and Lafon then repeatedly stomped Dreamer as he covered Beulah's body until the Sandman made his entrance (Richard's surprise return after a 5-month absence) (Rob Van Dam: One of a Kind)
Sabu (w/ Bill Alfonso) pinned the Sandman in a tables and ladders match at 21:00 following an Atomic Arabian Facebuster with a steel ladder
Shane Douglas (w/ Francine on crutches, recovering from a fractured pelvis) pinned ECW World Champion Bam Bam Bigelow to win the title at 25:01 with a belly to belly suplex through a table after avoiding a powerbomb off the top through the same table; both Chris Candido and Lance Storm were banned from ringside for the duration of the match but attempted to interfere at the 19:30 mark only for Bigelow to press slam the challenger onto them at ringside; Bigelow played the heel for the match since it was near Douglas' hometown of Pittsburgh; after the bout, Candido and Storm came to the ring to check on the condition of the new champion (ECW: Unreleased Vol. 1)
